Recently, a businessman approached our company, interested in investing in the world of crypto. This is one of the most controversial and rapidly changing fields today.

Unlike many others, this businessman acted responsibly and immediately contacted us for a thorough investigation when his gut feeling told him that something was off.

And here is a story of crypto investment scam prevention.

This businessman came across an advertisement for a cryptocurrency trading company, which he found trustworthy based on positive reviews, and he contacted them. Since he was unfamiliar with the field, he decided not to take any chances.

Our investigation revealed that the company's license number, which was listed on its website, appeared to be valid according to the Companies Register. However, the names of the company's management, which were displayed on the website, were not listed on the Companies Register website as they should have been in that particular country.

A red flag was raised.

Instead of checking the names that appeared on the website, we decided to investigate the legitimacy of the company listed on the Companies Register website.

The company was legitimate, without any special remarks or obligations, except that the link from the Companies Register website led to a different site than the one where our client conducted his business.

At this point, when it was clear that our client's intuition was accurate, we decided to conduct further verification and contacted the "legitimate" company, providing them with additional details on behalf of our client.

Of course, they had no idea who we were talking about and had never heard his name before. At this point, we told them that there was another identical website with the same details except for the owner's name.

Our client received a report with all the details we uncovered, and we sent the duplicated website address to the company. In our view, we helped someone who didn't realize they needed our assistance.
